The Bourne Trilogy currently has a 4.5 star rating out of 383 Amazon reviews, and the next best Amazon Marketplace price is a used copy in acceptable condition for $27.96 (plus $2.98 shipping) from Goodwill Southern California. All in all, this isn’t a deal that I’m jumping for joy over. Maybe if it was closer to $20, but, for me, it’s a mediocre price. You can check out the DVDTalk review here, or the Blu-ray.com review right here for a more detailed look at the collection.

This deal is set to expire on August 11th, 2012.

On the small screen side of Amazon’s weekly deals, we have the lovable serial killer, Dexter, on sale. Individual seasons (the first season through the fifth season) of the hit show are on sale, with prices ranging from $28.41 to $31.99 on Blu-ray, and $20.49 to $24.99 on DVD. I’ve never seen this series, but my friends are all obsessed with it. If I didn’t already own most of these on DVD, I’d definitely be picking up some of the seasons on Blu-ray.

Here is the Amazon description of the series, for those not in know:

Dexter is a crime drama about Dexter Morgan, a man who leads a double life as an incredibly likable forensics expert for the Miami Police Department and as an emotionless vigilante serial killer. Taught by his foster father to harness his lust for blood and killing, Dexter lives by his own strict moral code – he only kills murderers who can’t otherwise be brought to justice. Dexter is a killer who grapples with fitting into society while, at the same time, he struggles with his inability to feel emotion. The irony of Dexter’s life is that he works closely as a blood splatter analyst with the very people who hunt his kind: the homicide departments.”

This deal, like The Bourne Trilogy is set to expire on August 11th, 2012.
