Comments– Wow…didn’t see all THAT coming. Warning- homophobes steer as far away from this one as you can! This movie shocked the hell out me and had me feeling extremely uncomfortable throughout most of it- it was great! Bridgette wanted to just rate it “fucked up” but that wasn’t an option, so she stuck with memorable. Either way, this will be a movie neither of us will ever forget. I may have a stupid, sick sense of humor, but I found this hysterical from start to finish. Bruno is one of Sacha Baron Cohen’s personas (from Borat fame) and is WAY more shocking than anything Borat could have thought up. The movie follows the very openly homosexual, wanna-be-celebrity, Bruno, on his quest to become world famous. He comes to Los Angeles in hopes of making it big, but ends up in Texas and Arkansas along the way. I hate giving any spoilers, so I will leave it at that. What drives the movie is Bruno’s quest to become famous, and a little love story thrown in for fun. Bruno is not for the easily-offended because Cohen does absolutely EVERYTHING he can to shock viewers. If you’ve got an open mind, liked Borat, and can handle a swinging penis for 30 seconds, Bruno is definitely worth a viewing. Great-Memorable.

Now I just want to know which parts were real and which parts were completely staged…Unfortunately for most of the “actors” in the movie, I think that most of it was very real. I guess Cohen relied on the camera being that as a way to not get hurt? Hilarious!
